You know how the local efo riro used to be prepared with locust beans, scotch bonnets and onions? Do you remember making akara (bean cakes) by grinding the beans on the grinding stone( as a child, I was only entitled to two large balls of those😁).
Here’s my point, things have changed… I’m also guilty of this. The originality of our existence are compromised daily. We refuse to make our delicacies according to their recipes but chase another country’s.
We are now very wasteful, we work and earn just to have “soft life” Good? yeah but how about living a good and healthy life while at it? Make your food, sweat while at it, don’t litter the floor/ roads, conserve water and energy. Be a better person!
Who knows if Mother Nature would be grateful.
